Let's Hold Pat Toomey Accountable

Although his retirement is still a year away, we must begin.

Toomey betrayed his voters, his people, and his party. No, he was not a bi-partisan hero. He was whipped by the opposition, and likely bought out by large donors. What happens in the halls of the Capitol is unseen by us people, however party whips like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, along with receiving large donations during campaign years bring a politician's action and power to it's demise. Let's hold Pat Toomey accountable for what he did to Trump, and establish precedent that we the people will take action against such betrayals in the future. We have issued a new project called "Operation Accountable." Over the next year and a half, we will be collecting messages addressed to Pat Toomey asking for a genuine reason why he betrayed his party, and reminding him that we the Pennsylvanians are thankful for his retirement, and that we are disappointed in what he did. By doing this, we remind other current and future politicians, they have a duty to the people who elected them, and they must uphold it. Us Republicans elected Toomey to ensure Republican representation and legislation, and he turned a blind eye to that.

How do we do this?
-Below towards the bottom of this page is a link directly to the submission form for Operation Accountable.

What do we write?
-We ask that your salutation is: "Dear Senator Toomey,". We also ask you speak your mind. We encourage you include what ever you feel fit to hold a senator accountable. We also remind you that we encourage respectful language, with a respectful tone. We also ask you include your name and city or township. Here is an example:

"Dear Senator Toomey, us Republicans elected you to uphold Republican legislation and representation. You mostly did a good job of that until you voted against Trump. I am messaging you as a reminder that we must hold betrayals like this accountable.  You betrayed your voters, and your party. No, you were not a bi-partisan hero, you undermined your duty, and we won't forget that. I want to use you as an example on why we the people must never elect people who will betray their voters. We won't forget this, and I am exceedingly glad to say farewell. I am glad you are retiring from the Senate. -Andrew Romanchik, Pittsburgh PA."

What Happens Next?
-Towards the end of this term, we will print and mail all the messages to his offices across our state and his office on Capitol Hill.

Why are we doing this?
-We have to remind current and future politicians that betrayals like this are deplorable, and that they must uphold what their voters want. We must remind the people that we have to take action to hold our politicians accountable.

Is there any other way I can do this?
-Yes! At events we go to across our state, we will have an option in which you can write a letter and give it to us to then be mailed to Senator Toomey. However, we encourage the google form method because of it's simplicity.
